What to do with your dog on a rainy day.

Hey everyone! Today, I am going to be talking about fun things you can do with your dog on a rainy day. Now I know especially in the U.S.A it has been very rainy in many states. SO I though this would be a good idea to blog about! In fact, where I live it is actually thunder storming outside! So with out further a do, lets get started!

Not every dog likes to be outside in the rain! I know my dog, Maddie, likes to sleep inside during the rain. But other dogs, just can't help being bored when they can't go outside! So here are some fun ideas that you can do with your dog on a rainy day!

1. Play Hide-and-go-seek.

A fun thing that most dogs like to do (all though some just don't understand it) is to play Hide and go seek! All you need to do is make sure your dog takes notice of you (and is not asleep, otherwise she won't realize your playing a game if this makes any sense :P), then all you need to do is take a soft light blanket (don't do too thick and heavy, especially for little dogs! As it might scare them or even harm them) and put it over them, then go hide. When your dog finds it's way out of the blanket they will most likely come looking for you. Don't forget to give your dog hints to where you are!

2. Bake Dog Treats!

Another fun activity to do on a cold rainy day, is to bake Dog Treats! There are many great recipes for dog biscuits, other treats and even dog ice-cream! (I might also post some dog recipes on here!) Your dog can be the taste tester! ;) You can bake as many treats as you want and get wild with all of the flavors and decorations! Be creative! :P When you're done, don't forget to give them to your dog to enjoy!

3. Teach your dog a new trick!

Teaching your dog tricks are great exercises for their minds! It's important to teach them tricks! (Again, I will be posting things about tricks too!) There are many fun tricks you can try! I would suggest, that if you have never trained your dog tricks before, start with "sit"! But once your dog knows the basic tricks (sit, lay down, etc.) then why not move on to some fun and advanced tricks! There are many tricks you can teach your dog! Such as play dead, jump throw a hoop, wipe their paws on a rug, open the fridge, sit pretty and a lot more! Have fun!

4. Dog Stylist.

Why not? If your dog needs a bath, this works out perfectly! To be a dog stylist, all you need to do is give your dog a bath. Then when you are done, brush at her hair so it is nice and smooth! Then, if your dog likes it or doesn't mind it, you can add bows or flowers, etc. If you want too, you can even add doggy costumes! If it's a boy or a girl, who cares! As long as you are both having fun. REMEMBER, NEVER force your dog to do something it doesn't want to do. It's important when having fun with your dog, that you are not making your dog uncomfortable!
